National Service Scheme (NSS)

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme launched by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. It aims to provide student youth from senior secondary schools (+2 level), technical institutions, colleges, and universities with the opportunity to engage in community service initiatives and programs led by the government. With the objective of shaping the personality and character of young students through voluntary service, NSS operates under the motto “Education through Service.”
